Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. Service was excellent. A true hidden gem.

Excellent food, great price and fast service. Perfect breakfast place. Oatmeal is very flavorful, breakfast potatoes are seasoned perfectly and the pancakes are very large.

I really enjoyed the breakfast/lunch menu available all day. Healthy choices, fresh quality and affordable, portions great! Fast, friendly service by efficient, hardworking staff. Casual dining and easy access from Douglas. I had the Farmer's Omelet with added ham. You can choose your own ingredients if you like! Fresh fruit and amazing potatoes topped it off. My co-worker had the Salmon lunch which she said was cooked perfectly. They also offer vegetarian options and healthy yummy smoothies. My recommendation is to give it a try, you will really like it. I am definitely going back.

Small little place with excellent food. Breakfast and lunch, minimalist vibe, and kind staff. The bacon comes with blackened spices of black pepper, brown sugar, and rosemary. One of the best I've ever had. Waffle was large and quality, nothing innovative, but I was topped with their delicious berry compote. Prices are comparable to other breakfast joints in KC. Our drinks stayed filled, and the waitress did excellent. Great little place for a Lee's Summit breakfast!Return edit: The bacon I had the first time has never been replicated. Their bacon has been mediocre since the change and overall I've left with a little disappointment because the quality of food hasn't reached the same level as the first time I was there.

Really good French toast. First time here service was great food was excellent. Fluffy eggs and good bacon! Mmmm will be back.

This was our first time eating at Ginger Sue's. We felt that it was just ok. There are other places that we prefer. I will say that I liked it better than my husband did. One big plus the restaurant has going for it are the prices. Everything seemed reasonably priced. My one pancake on the side was $2.25, which it getting up there in price, but overall, prices were decent. The atmosphere was very basic. There were not any booths that I could see, only hard chairs at tables. They had tall pub tables or short regular tables. They had ample space between tables which was nice. You didn't feel like you were sitting right on top of the people beside you. The acoustics were horrible. The place was very noisy and not many people were there. The reason for the noise might be because not one wall had a picture hanging on it. Overall it was an ok dining experience. I would go back if I could talk my husband into it.

Food was great, hot, and arrived quickly. Wait staff was quick and very polite. The only drawback is there isn't much of a waiting area, and it's very loud. They have an open ceiling, so there's nothing to absorb all of the voices talking.

The food was ok....I had the breakfast burrito. The contents of which were fine. But, it's wrapped in a crepe. Nothing wrong with crepes, but they're not well suited for holding a well-stuffed burrito together. This made it somewhat difficult to transfer from plate, to fork, to mouth. The potatoes are tasty, albeit a bit greasy. There bigger issue (at least for my visit) was the service. It took what seemed like 10 minutes for anyone to approach our table to take drink orders once we were seated. Drinks took forever, and our server seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else than in that building. Once we were done eating, we waited for quite a while before she came back to ask if we were ready for the check...... And another 15 minutes before she came back and asked us if she'd brought our check yet..... Seriously.

This was my first time there, I was recommended by family. Food was good, especially the potatoes, pancakes were huge, however the serve time was too long. Food was lukewarm by the time we received it. Waitress seemed overwhelmed but she tried to make the most of it. Didn't feel the manager did enough to remedy the situation.

This place is awesome! Great service & food! Chocolate chip pancakes to die for and the bacon is terrific! We will definitely be back!

We love going to Ginger Sue’s for breakfast. Everyone in my family has there personal favorites. They have incredible pancakes. I love their eggs Benedict while my wife enjoys the fried egg sandwich and their salads. We have been going there for breakfast since the day they opened. My only complaint is that it can get noisy there when busy, but the food and service never disappoints.

Everything is amazing here. Especially the bacon. They move people through at a good pace so even when there is a line, it isnt that long of a wait.

Finer Sue's is one in a growing trend of rsdtaurant chains which serve breakfast and brunch foods between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. I'm the type of guy who sometimes likes a breakfast plate in the evening, but I won't get any service at Ginger Sue's until the following morning. Fortunately their food is quite good. The menu offers a variety of breakfast foods and several smoothies for those who think the key to fitness is consumed through a straw. Be warned, the pancakes and waffles are the size of the plate. Also, Ginger Sue's features a signature seasoned bacon, which can be ordered plain if you ask. Ginger Sue's is a tasty and reasonably priced stop for your breakfast cravings.

Cute place but hard wooden seats were not comfortable. Great service, very nice and welcoming. Waffle was hot but butter was hard and cold syrup. Bacon was awful, need to clean the flattop grill.

Food was awesome, but the walls were bare of any pictures or history of the locale. Seems that this is an up and coming place that has a faithful clientele, and after eating, you can tell why.

I've been here plenty of times, if you haven't had the bacon here, be sure to get a side, it is phenomenal. The potatoes they serve with almost everything are seasoned astoundingly. The peanut butter banana pancakes were a little too cakey for my taste but thats nothing more syrup can't fix. Definitely will be a return customer for life.

FANTASTIC fresh, made to order breakfasts. Nice size portions and GREAT prices. Fun atmosphere and friendly service. Going to make Ginger Sue's part of our traveling tradition. Thank you!!

Pancakes are good but everything else is kinda meh. Don't usually complain about this but they need an interior decorator, it's just a bunch of blank walls. With the open ceiling it feels like you're eating in a warehouse.

Food came out barely warn, looked good for presentation. Coffee was good. However it made me question when employees walked in with Starbucks drinks. Waitress was very friendly. Probably won't be back for another 10 yrs which is about how long it's been since I was last in.

Amazing food! Sweetest waitress! And great vibes! I recommend getting a smoothie with ur breakfast! They're definitely some of the best I've had.

Was fast and friendly was not really expecting an seasoning twist on traditional breakfast. Was interesting. Scrambled eggs came out way under done for me . bacon really limp and greasy. Taste was ok gravy and potatoes definitely different . Who ever was seasoning went way over board on my order. Same for my husband's scramble bowl. It could have been a bad day in the kitchen it happens.

The food was very good and the service was better. They had a very long line but the line moved very quickly.

Family had brought us here all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada. Best breakfast burrito (sub bacon) . It was amazingly delicious.Pairs perfectly with a half stack of chocolate chip pancakes. Totally delicious. Well worth the wait.

Great place for brunch! I love their breakfasts. I am allergic to wheat, so as much as I love a good Eggs Benedict, unless they have GF bread, I cannot indulge. So here I can get the Ginger Sue's breakfast special with eggs, ham, their yummy potatoes, and a side of hollandaise. So perfect! Just dip each bite into the holly sauce! YUM!!! What a great way to start a difficult day. And the little side of fruit was so cute, as well as tasty too. Thanks for the happy tummy! (If I wasn't so hungry, would've taken a pic...sorry! Lol!)

Definitely our favorite spot. They have a fresh unique spin on normal midwest breakfast fare. The French toast is cut from an actual loaf of crusty bread and the hollandaise is always great tasting. Sometimes I get the pancakes with blueberries and they don't disappoint. It's the go to breakfast spot for southeastern Jackson county!

It was very busy when we came in, and the waitresses were rushed at the time, but after waiting only a couple minutes, they had time to take our order. The food was the best resturant breakfast I've had in over a year, and the workers were very casual in addressing regulars. I'll be back often!

Great tasting food and nice service. Be sure to try the seasoned bacon. It is very good, but a little sweet. The ambulance and biscuits and gravy are very good. Seasoned potatoes are very nice and not overcooked. Be careful with extra charges for substitutions. I asked if ham could be removed from my Denver omelette and replaced with bacon, it was, but I was not told in advance of the $.75 fee.

It was okay. I arrived at 1 since I was on lunch and the service felt slightly rushed since they were closing at 2. They food was only okay. I was excited to try a new restaurant. The holandaisse tasted a bit sour and the potatoes were over-seasoned. I’ll probably be back if I’m working in the area to try something else on the menu.

Amazing homestyle breakfasts and lunch with an attentive and truly cool staff. I highly recommend the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. It isn't on the menu so ask your server.

Family owned and operated restaurant specializing in breakfast and lunch. Closed evenings. Wide variety of menu choices. Service and food are excellent. Very popular and very busy on weekends. Enjoyed our food and will certainly go back.

Got in, waited like 5 minutes, and immediately got sat and asked for our drink order. Got our drinks in minutes, then when we ordered got our food in 5 minutes as well. super fast service, nice waitresses and hostesses. definitely will come back!!! recommend highly (:

Very good place, we were greeted, fast and nice service, food was delicious, prices are reasonable, the portion was just right, not big but not small. the waitress was helpful. The place was clean .. we had breakfast burrito and southwestthe scramble and we both leved it. The only thing I didn't like was the lighting, it felt dark .. 👍

Very good but the biscuit wasn't as good as it looked. Other than that very delicious.
